Role of the Agencies
The healthcare sector comprises of different third-party organization whose main role is to offer oversight and guidelines concerning the nursing practice. The Joint Commission operates on a global scale to ensure that the quality of patient safety and overall improvement in primary care is achieved in the healthcare industry (The Joint Commission, 2019).
The agency comprises leading practices, expertise, knowledge and high standards to help reduce the risk factors associated with care (The Joint Commission, 2019). In this regard, the mission statement of the Joint Commission is to ensure improved public health care services. The commission achieves these roles by collaborating with stakeholders (The Joint Commission, 2019).
On the other hand, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is essential in providing credentials for both individuals who advance in nursing and organizations that provide medical care (American Nurses Credentialing Center, 2018). The agency ensures that these entities meet the required standards, timelines, and capacity to meet the demands of the patients.

There are different programs that a nurse can be engaged with as they advance in their career. These programs can offer guidance, protection and insights on how to become effective in the practice setting. One of the programs that I would venture into is the U.S. department of health and human services. This agency is one of the leading in terms of the provision of essential nursing information about human services required to protect the health and well-being of all Americans (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 2016).
As a nurse, getting acquainted with this information will help me with the successful integration of nursing theory into my day-to-day nursing activities to enhance patient care. Also, it will help me with successful collaboration with healthcare professionals in other fields to enhance patient outcomes not only in nursing but in healthcare as a whole.
