Members of the Interdisciplinary Team Involved in Seeing the Patient on Arrival to ED and their Responsibilities

When John Doe initially presents at the Emergency Department (ED), part of members of the team involved in responding to his health care needs is cardiorespiratory physiotherapist. Their responsibilities include examining the status of the patient’s cardiorespiratory health, and administering clinical interventions like providing supplemental oxygen (Patel, 2021).

Nurses have various options when it comes to the nonmedical resource they can recommend for patients that presents to the ER with serious injuries. Considering the significance of patient education in supporting recovery, the patient would benefit from resources focused on improving their health literacy especially when it comes to the management of wound and appropriate use of medications.

The rehabilitation of a patient with injuries is crucial especially when it comes to achieving long-term healthcare goals.
