Sampling Method The research involved using randomized sampling technique to select the right sample of nursing students. Purposive sampling considering that the research involved designing study conditions with the purpose of controlling and standardizing the variables.

The SD for total bacteria load in order in wet hand, dried hand, air blown and swab are 1.387, 135.466, 34.508 and 1076.830.

Mean values of the total confirmed bacteria in dried hand and blown air without the use of filter are 77.1 and 44 respectively.

With the use of filter, the total bacteria load for the wet hand, dried hand, air blown, and swab had mean values of 1.37, 0.87, 17.75 and 203.75 respectively.
